Carib Brewery has made a commitment to begin brewing beer with cassava. According to sector head Peter Hall, the company expects to partner with over one thousand cassava farmers and is willing to invest in agriculture in order to acquire a reliable supply. The possibility of pure cassava beverages exists, but current plans are to blend cassava beer into mainstream products.

Hall believes that this project will operate in tandem with the region’s current focus in agriculture and provide significant benefits for the local economy in time.
