The House of Angostura issues a press release outlining some achievements in 2020. The main text states “A Time of Achievement Proudly Moving Forward”

Smaller sub-text that quotes Chairman Terrence Bharath provides some additional context;

In a year of extraordinary global challengers, Angostura strengthened our commitment to caring for and serving our country while showcasing the brilliance of Trinidad and Tobago on the world stage. As we move forward, we will continue to embrace opportunities to drive development and uplift our country.

In an image styled like a clock, the company lists some of their achievements over the course of 2020.

January White Oak Coconut Launch

February Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge

April Hand Sanitizer Donated to Frontline Workers and All Schools

May COVID-19 Family Assistance $1 Million Food Drive

July Angostura Cocoa Bitters Launch

August Opening of State-of-the-Art Wastewater Treatment Facility

September White Oak Watermelon Launch

October SEA Students’ Book Voucher & Secondary Schools’ Laptop Distribution

November Angostura Sorrel and Bitters Launch

December TTMA Winner of Manufacturer of the Year 2019 & Angostura Tribute Chairman’s Choice Rum Launch

The achievement of the final months is particularly interesting since it shows that Angostura has launched a new rum called Angostura Tribute Chairman’s Choice Rum Launch with little fanfare.

Admittedly, Premium releases from Angostura attract as much attention as limited edition offerings from Saint Lucia Distillers, Mount Gay Distilleries, Demerara Distillers Limited, and the Foursquare Rum Distillery, but in this case there are no details on any of their social media accounts of this rum being released.

The image indicates that it is a Single Cask Rum and that it has a red wax seal that’s similar to older bottles of Angostura 1824, but beyond that nothing is available to the public.
